It is a well known fact that the highest cost reviews through ReviewMe are written by Jeremy Schoemaker from Shoe Money. The review costs $2500, yea you heard it right… a link that will cost $2500. Would you pay for it?

Mitchell “Harpz” Harper from HarpzOn recently purchased a review on Show Money. Now, you have to understand… Schoemaker doesn’t accept reviews from anyone, otherwise his site would be full of poker and porn sites. $2500 might not seem like much money, but would you rather have one review on one site for $2500, or would you rather have ordered 25 reviews on 25 sites? Shoe Money is read by HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people, but if you think about it, there’s no valid reason to pay $2500 for one stupid link, I don’t care where you’re posting it.

$2500 for 400 Words?

Jeremy Schoemaker is laughing all the way to the bank with his 400 words review of HarpzOn. What are the effects of this? Is that all the coverage he got $2500? Here’s the interesting thing… when you pay for a review at a high price like that, people will talk, people like me will talk about what a stupid idea that was to pay for a review. That’s called getting reviews for free! It’s funny how that works out, positive or negative… nothing beats free coverage!

In conclusion, I would never pay $2500 for a short 15 minutes of fame. But nonetheless, my best wishes to Mitchell “Harpz” Harper on getting that money back.

Note: Jeremy Schoemaker does not make $2500 off of this review, he made about $1250 $2000, because ReviewMe basically splits the cost in half.

Update: The man himself Mr. Schoemaker posted a comment that he makes $2000, not $1250 as he claims that there’s a special deal worked out with ReviewMe.

Actually we have negotiated a special rate with ReviewME we earn 2000 of the 2500.

I hate to do reviews and yes I think they are a rip off.

More money to you, my brother! It’s funny/interesting how you reject so many reviews, that’s like saying no to free money. It takes a real man to do that.

I don’t know. Some companies will gladly pay $100+/CLICK to get targeted traffic to their website (imagine the dough they pull in), so is $2500 really that insane on a site with hundreds of thousands of readers, qualified or not?

But hell, Shoe says himself he thinks it’s a rip-off so who am I?

I do love the fact though, that he is honest about what he thinks. He can write some winded argument here against your article, but instead he generally agrees. That’s cool as hell. That’s probably why people with good products or services want his review.

Maybe $2500 is too cheap. Personally, I don’t accept review requests for under $10,000.
