DM Bloodless

There are hundreds of thousands of themes available for Wordpress, but there are only few out there with good black & white only color scheme. Which is where I come in. This is my first Wordpress theme, it feels good to give something to the community. I decided it to call it DM-Bloodless, I hope you enjoy this theme. I’d like to thank Onreact.com for making this possible.

the demo page does not really look like the screen excerpt posted in connection with the theme, or is the theme preview broken?

good job on releasing the theme to the public, the community will thank you!

oh, now I get it
I was just confused because the demo looked so different. however a great and exceptionally clean theme! also thanks for the kudos and the remarks left on my blog.

Beautiful looking theme! I’m having a problem though. When posting or saving an edited post, I get the following error message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/roadside/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/dmbloodless/functions.php:7) in /home/roadside/public_html/blog/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 331

…then I have to close browser/ log back in to get my dashboard back.

Hmm… that’s weird. I will try to work out this issue and post an update as soon as I narrow down the issue. Thanks for letting me know.

Finally done! Congrats. It looks good, simple and can be used for professional purposes.

I’ve seen the “Warning: Cannot modify header information” problem before with other themes, check Google for the reasons.

I’m also having the same problem as Mr. Pagani. The exact same error.

I’ve gone through the delete whitespace trick at the end of any files and uploaded the theme a couple of times.

No joy.

It’s a new wp install using 2.1.3 with no plugins installed or activated.

I don’t have any other problems with the other themes.

Any help would be appreciated as it’s a splendid little theme imho.

Hmm… make sure you guys have the widgets plug-in installed or if you have 2.2 it’s built-in, so you don’t need it..

Yep, the latest version of WordPress so I use widgets. I love the look of your theme, it’s a GREAT design. As you will see I had to stop using it because of this header post error, but I’d love to start using it again if you figure out what’s doing this.

This is the only theme I’ve had this problem with, although a previous commenter said he/she had seen this before on some other theme.

If it wasn’t for a previous poster saying that they had this problem with all plugins turned off, I would have suggested that maybe there is a plugin that doesn’t get along with this theme. I use the plugins SEO-WordPress and Headspace2 - two plugins that add information to the head area of the generated page. Then you might wonder if the order in which header information is posted might be the problem.

Chriss, I am working to find out what’s going on, as I am sure there are more people out there who are having a problem with it, but just didn’t report it. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I find something. Thanks again for mentioning the problem.

I’ve also installed the theme on a 2.2.1 version of wp on a different host and I’m getting the same error as with the 2.1.3 install.

DM.. One thing you might want to include in the next version of Bloodless. Right before the closing body tag in the header you need to add . I found I had a few plugins that required it.

The code got stripped out of my previous comment… You need to add “do_action(’wp_footer’); ” above the closing body tag.

Hi again,

Well, I tried to substitute the new functions.php file suggested by SEO 2.0, but I’m not a coder and I must be doing something dreadfully wrong. If anybody out there reading this has successfully fixed this file, I would be ever so grateful if you would please send it as an attachment to amysemail At Gmail Dot Com

Meanwhile, here’s what I did:
cut & paste fix shown on SEO 2’s website into the old functions.php file.
Try saving it, but I receive the message that there are characters that cannot be saved in Ansi.
Save it in Unicode, use this file to replace the old functions.php, my website crashes.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ‘)’ in /home/myusername/public_html/myblog/wp-content/themes/dmbloodless/functions.php on line 17

Anyhow, at this point, I’m at a loss as to what to do and would love some help, as this theme would otherwise adapt perfectly to my blog.

I really like the bloodless theme and the black/white option. Is there a reason the posts don’t show dates? Am I not enabling the dates or something? Thanks for your help!

i finally got it to work by removing the white space as mentioned above on the functions.php… nextgen gallery is also showing… thank you so much for such a nice theme!
